»Public in general and Aligarians in particular are hereby informed that Aligarh Muslim University Old Boys Sahkari Awas Samiti ( Regd ) has signed MOU in May 2010 with Supertech Group Noida Sector 58 to facilitate the purchase of 320 flats in their Echo Vill –1 Gr Noida project.
»Now by Gods grace and the cooperation by members the construction is nearing completion. Consequently there are reports that the builder has sold some suits to nonmembers for easy monetary gains without our knowledge.
»We are serious to take up the matter with Supertech and we warn people to be cautious while entertaining such transactions.

About Society

Mr. A.A Farooqui, the then DCP & Sr. Vice President,  Mr. Mohd. Moshin Israily, Advocate Supreme Court & the then Secretary and Mr. Wasim Ahamd Khan, the then Treasure, 1994 – 1999 conceived the idea of floating the Housing Complex in NCR for the AMU old boys from throughout the world with the objective to revive the memories of AMU culture.

The AMU Old boys association, 1994-1997 had registered AMU Old Boys Sahkari Avas Samiti Limited, Ghaziabad, UP (Regn. No. 2216) on 1st January, 1997 with objective to have housing complex in NCR for the aligarians. Mr. Safdar H. khan, (Resign) was its founder Chairman and M. Mohsin Israily, Advocate, Supreme Court as its founder Secretary.

Background :

The main objective of the Avas Samiti was to have the residential complex at the minimum distance from the Delhi at the minimum cost and with the maximum facilities. With this objective society tried hard to get plot allotted from the government authorities the very inception of the society.  Initially the government authorities came out with the proposal for the allotment of land to the group housing societies through auctions,  since corers of rupees was required for participating in the bid process but the society had the limited finances as aforesaid therefore could not participate in the auction process.

The managing committee had tried their level best, in this regard they had approached number of ministers and old boys in the UP as well as in Delhi government. But the desired result could not be achieved, therefore the society started looking for an alternate options including of purchasing of flats in bulk from the builders under the terms and conditions of society. The main objective was to have the project with the maximum facilities, economical with minimum distance from the capital.

In the year 2007 the managing committee shortlisted 12 projects (give hyperlink to the scan copy of the project) for selecting one for the society. All the projects was placed before the  GBM dated 26.08.2007. The GBM had decided the managing committee should approach once again the UP government authorities for the allotment of land to the society, in this regards managing committee has written numbers representations to the development authorities of Ghaziabad, NOIDA and Gr. NOIDA. A delegation of the managing committee met number of ministers for the same purpose, but again the desired result could not be achieved.

Consequently the managing committee approached senior members of GBM and apprise them about the aforesaid development. It was decided that the managing committee once again look for the built-up flats from the genuine builders. The managing committee then made marathon efforts and shortlisted two projects (give hyperlink to the scan copy) and the same was placed before the GBM held on 31.05.2009 for its approval.  The GBM approved the project of Proview Construction Limited, located in Sector Chi V (Plot No. 9A) Greater NOIDA. The managing committee approached the proprietor of Proview Construction Limited took around  four months for the negotiation and he was demanding huge amount for booking the project but society has the limited funds, therefore the Proview project was finally could not be materialized.

In the month of March, 2010 the Greater Noida Authority allotted the various plots to the builders for Residential purposes in Sector I, Greater NOIDA. The Managing Committee rush to the site and contacted various builders including Earth Construction Limited and Supertech Limited. Once again marathon meeting took place with both the builders and finally  Supertech Limited was shortlisted, subsequently the site was visited by the members of the society on 14th April, 2010 who approved the project anonymously.   Accordingly the Managing Committee paid a sum of Rs. 21 lakhs as a token and  signed MOU on 17th May, 2010 with Supertech Limited as per the terms and condition of the society. The GBM was apprise of the aforesaid development in the meeting held on 13th June, 2010. The GBM shown the concern of the project and suggested a task force be raised for enlisting the 320 members.
